Consulting for Small Businesses - How to get the most out of your ERP!

Consulting for small & medium size Manufacturing Companies that are trying to implement integrated ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems or currently having issues with their ERP.

The paragraphs below summarize the "types" of manufacturing companies that could use my services

MC Levy and Company FOCUSES ON:

1. Companies that have purchased an Integrated Manufacturing/Accounting
System in the last 5 Years.
2. Companies that purchased ERP systems and expected improvements in:
• Return On Investment (ROI),
• Inventory Management,

• Customer Service …
But did not meet the expectations that the company had when they originally justified purchasing the system.

3. Companies that are only utilizing 10% - 15% of the system’s functional capability.

======================================================

Why does a company need MC Levy and Company’s assistance in implementing ERP?

(a) Basically 85% - 90% of the companies that purchase an ERP system "DO NOT" receive the benefits & cost savings that they thought they were going to receive when they justified purchasing the system... the basic reason was that they did not perform the "initial planning" that determined their "expectations" and those "non ERP" areas which needed to be "fixed/improved" before they were ready for the ERP System..... this "PREPLANNING" normally is not done because "it appears" not to add value to the implementation effort.... a BIG MISTAKE!!!

(b) Normally (lean & mean) Medium & Small Manufacturing Companies (1) “DO NOT” have the personnel that have the experience of implementing an ERP System or if they do, (2) the personnel does not have the time to devote 100% of his/her time to manage the ERP Project.

(c) MC Levy and Company acts as a buffer/project manager for the client as well as the vendor that provides the ERP Software/Services/Training. During the initial phase of the implementation, MC Levy and Company helps confirm that all of the information (Part Numbers, Descriptions, BOM's, Inventory Data Accuracy...etc.) is within acceptable limits “before” any type of implementation tasks can begin. MC Levy and Company works with both the client/users & vendor to insure that the tasks defined in the project plan/implementation schedule is completed in a timely & satisfactory manner.

(d) Based on (a), (b), (c), the use of MC Levy and Company is a WIN-WIN situation for (A) The client…. They receive a working ERP System that meets their expectations (saves $, improved customer performance….etc.), and (B) the vendor ….. another Happy Customer, additional services & seats, and an excellent reference.

Most of the difficulty for manufacturing companies in implementing a “successful” ERP system is (1) Lack of education in understanding the complexity of an ERP system and the business processes in the company, (2) lack of planning at the front end to understand what resources (labor & $) will be required to implement the system, (3) and trying to bite off more than you can chew.

Call to speak with me for a consultation and I will put you on the path you desire and need to help grow your business.

SponsoredShouts through the ShoutOmatic platform

With the "Holy Grail" of advertising being "word of mouth", what better way to exploit social media than using the SponsoredShout program from ShoutOmatic. ShoutOmatic offers a full roster of celebrities to help spread the word about your brand or business. With the viral affect of each Shout being spread through Twitter and then posted to your company's Facebook page there is no better way to get out the "word of mouth" about your products or services than a SponsoredShout from a celebrity that fits the audience you are looking to talk to. Also, each Shout now generates its own QR Code so these Shouts can be heard literally anywhere from billboards to newspaper ads.

Now you can literally get the "word of mouth" from a celebrity using their voice and Shouting to their followers and fans. This is a lot more engaging and adds emotion, tonality and authenticity to the message and also allows for a two way communication. Gone are the days of Brands simply telling people what they want to say. Now it is a two way street. Brands are talking to their consumers to get their feedback, input and "word of mouth".

Using ShoutOmatic allows the brands to engage with their customers. Create contests, create excitement, knowledge and opinion.

Check out this SponsoredShout from Kevin Boss (NFL player for the Oakland Raiders) on behalf of the brand 110% Play Harder: http://shoutomatic.com/kevin-boss

To find a celebrity that fits your need check out this roster. This list grows daily.

Today's Economy

Sorry for the rant, but....

Did we think we would be heading in the same direction we were in just 2+ years ago. It is amazing how much of a mess that has been created in our economy and the world economy. I personally blame "Politicians" for the cause of the mess we are in. If our politicians were in business they would have declared bankruptcy many times over. How do they get to keep doing this? Don't we all wish we could do like our politicians where we have nothing but problems and severe debt and then take a month off? Now that is a gig I want. How do they get away with it? Why don't we have a say as to what they can and can't do?

If I were running for public office this is what I would do:

1) Stop wasting campaign donations: 50% of the money raised for my political campaign would be put back into the government to pay off some of the debt. Do we really need to see the same commercials over and over again telling us how bad one's opponent is? What a waste of time and money. Take that money and do something worth while with it.

I bet if any candidate pledges to do this with the money they raise others will follow. Even if it were just for this year, it would show that they are for the people and not for themselves. It would prove that they really "get it" instead of lip service saying "we need to create jobs" blah blah blah. Put your money where your mouth is and prove that you really care to do the job the public is hiring you to do. This would get more publicity than any negative commercial would get you.

2) Tariffs: I would demand a tariff to be charged for any goods coming from countries that under pay their own people. It is time the US starts to take care of itself. I know we live in a global economy and all, but do the Chinese care about us or even their own people for that matter? It is time to level the playing field. If the Chinese are okay with making $1 a day, then let them. But don't let them sell their cheaper products that come from this practice to our nation. Charge a hefty tariff to even the playing field. Let us start making our own products again. Get our people back to work and creating our own goods and services for fair wages. Yes, it will bring our cost of some goods up, but it will be helping ourselves and not some other country.

We are deep enough in debt to do something about it. Something drastic and something that will benefit our next generation and generations to come. Let us stop passing the buck and leaving this mess to our kids and their kids.

Does anyone think we can keep going down this path or should we be doing something about it?
